Center of Materials and Failure Analysis (COMFA) was established in 2005, with 15 years of construction and maturity, COMFA is a leading unit in Failure Analysis in Vietnam.

COMFA belongs to the Institute of Materials Science, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, which is implementing both research of the properties of materials and industrial services in the field of Material Testing and Failure Analysis.

In 2009 COMFA was recognized in accordance with the ISO / IEC 17025 standard, with the number Vilas 346.
